SM Choukyoushi Hitomi Bangai Hen (SM調教師瞳 番外編) is an unlicensed adult Super Famicom game developed by EJ Corporation and published by Seibu Kikaku.

Overview

Gameplay.

This game is an adult point-and-click adventure game, which follows various escapades involving the protagonist, Maki, and the transfer student Hitomi (seemingly unrelated to other characters named Hitomi in the series). Throughout the game there are several quiz battles, where the questions mostly center around obscure knowledge regarding the previous title in the series, SM Choukyoushi Hitomi Vol. 2. Getting at least 5 out of 10 questions correct will force the opponent to strip and the game to progress; otherwise the protagonist will have her own clothes forcibly removed and the game has to be reset and started over from the beginning. However, due to shoddy programming, the same question can be asked multiple times per quiz (sometimes right after that same question was already asked).

There are also two interactive adult scenes, which consist entirely of tedious point-and-click pixel hunting.

One of the extra features accessible from the main menu is "Fortune Teller Hitomi", which is essentially a horoscope. The other viewable option is an apology from the developers. The back of the box states that there would be a password feature that would allow interoperability between this game and the previous game in the series, SM Choukyoushi Hitomi Vol. 2. However, according to the note, it couldn't be implemented because of memory constraints.

There are also additional hidden options at the main menu for music, CG, and H-scene tests. Interestingly, the CG test gives the ROM version number of the game.

Trivia

• As with other games in the series, cartridges used by this game were sourced from previously legitimate Super Famicom games with the ROM chip replaced and a label placed over the old game's label.
• Some copies of the game feature an early screenshot of the interactive portion of the game on the back of the box. Whereas the dialogue is entirely contained at the bottom of the screen in the released version, it is shown in a text bubble in the early version.
• In the first area that the game starts in, clicking in the upper left corner of the screen will result in some debugging data being printed.
• A portion of the songs in this game and SM Choukyoushi Hitomi Vol. 3 that were composed by staff member (YMD)A were originally created for a music submission contest (南青山ゲームプロジェクト), detailed in the December 1990 issue of ASCII MSX Magazine. The music was to be used for a video game starring the Japanese idol group Baby's, but although the songs were ranked highly, the project itself was scrapped. (1, 2, 3)
