Shin Samurai Spirits 2 is a port of the game of the same name released in 1993 by SNK. The port was made by Hummer Team and released by J.Y. Company in 1996.

Compared to the original, about half of the roster is missing which only contains Haohmaru, Charlotte, Hanzo, Ukyo, Nakoruru, Nicotine, Jubei, Cham-Cham, and Mizuki. As with many games that uses the Hummer Team fighting engine, only the core elements are kept with the advanced techniques such as rolling and parrying were left out although you can still dash back and forth in the game. The POW meter was also left out so you're unable to preform any of the super moves in the game. You can also change the difficulty of the game on the title screen as well. Similar to Mortal Kombat II Special and Yuu Yuu Hakusho Final, all the commands for the special moves are the same with each character:

- The game was released under 2 different covers with different IDs. The other release's ID is TP-083 and it seems more common that the J.Y. label.
- On multicarts, the J.Y. logo was removed to fit the menu on the cartridge.
- The game use the font DPComic, which was often used in the late Hummer Team's fighters.
- The NSF contains Kart Fighter's ending music which was actually used in Yuu Yuu Hakusho Final, implying this game was built off of it.
